Following the First Ministers announcement on the 29th May, Wales Golf has received clarification from the Welsh Government. The following guidelines will come into force from the 1st June 2020. Current Golf Industry Guidelines are still in place.
In response to the current Covid 19 restrictions Cilsanws Golf Club is offering membership to anyone who wants to join for £250 for male members and £150 for ladies. The fee covers membership until the end of 2020. The club’s normal fees will then apply which means if you have not been a member for at least 5 years then the introductory rate for males of £250 and £150 for ladies will still be available from the 1st January 2021. Following advice from the Wales Government and Wales Golf the course will be opened from 9 am on Monday 18th May 2020. The opening of the course is subject to the advice on travel and exercise as defined by the Welsh Government and which can be found on their website. Merthyr Tydfil Golf Club has donated umbrellas to Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board staff testing units which were gratefully received. Come rain or shine staff will be well protected from the elements.
As per the statement from the UK Government, Cilsanws golf club is closed until further notice. This means the course, the clubhouse and all practice facilities. Stay safe everyone.

With the latest update (20/3/2020) on the government restrictions to prevent the spread of Covid 19, the club will be closed until further notice. The course will remain open. We ask all our members and friends of the club to please take care and be safe, listen to all advice and guidance that is given and we will see you all soon. Stay safe.
Due to the current Covid 19 situation, the Wayfares League for 2020 has been cancelled.
Well done to Mr Stuart Watkins and Mr Steven Richards on winning the winter league! It’s been a tough league and as they say, the cream always rises to the top! A big thank you to Mr Alun Roper and Keller kitchens, on sponsoring the winter league again for another year! It’s been a brilliant tournament and a brilliant day! Thanks to everyone!
